My dog seems to be ok with this pack on his back. At first he tried to pull it off, but as with anything, treats and positive reinforcement work best!
Holds up well, and carries everything we need for him on day trips.

I bought this for our 50-pound female black labrador. When I first put it on her with nothing in it and took her for a short half mile walk, she tried rolling around in the snow to get it off, but it didn't work. So she accepted it. I ordered a size small, and it fits nicely with the straps at their tightest. It seems to stay pretty balanced with 4 cans of pop, doggy bags, and treats. And she was panting before our second walk was done, which was a much longer walk. It didn't help her pulling any (not that she's bad to begin with), but we'll see if that changes in time. The material does seem a little cheap, but since I've only used it twice, I can't really form an opinion on that yet.
All in all, a good product. I'm happy with it. Now I just need to find an inexpensive treadmill...

THe pack works really well for our Coonhound but I am so glad that I read about the sizing in other reviews. I ordered a small for my 60 lbs dog and it's perfect.

Took it for our first hike it and it survived 4 hours through shrub and lots of mud! Started to shift as we drank the water and left it unbalanced. Did not seem to phase my dog at all. Idea was to tire her out, but I was the exhausted one at the end. She could have kept going! Glad I bought the small for my 40lb border collie mix, reviews were right about it running big. The small is pretty big. Can hold four .5L bottles of water in each side!! That's 4L of water! Can't wait to go back coutry hiking and know she can carry her water, food and bowl!

This is a fabulous dog back pack/ saddle bag. It too less than a minute to fit the first time (although I was glad I read the reviews from others that it ran big) and it takes only a few seconds to put on and take off. My dog quickly adjusted to it and, just like Cesar Milan says on the Dog Whisperer, it really gives her a workout, which is great for a high-strung dog. It has a lot of space for carrying things, which is quite convenient for the dog owner. Overall, this was a great purchase with which I am very happy.
