This bag is great. Seems to be sturdily built and has a ton of room. My only gripe is that there is not enough compartments inside, but I can get over that.

I've been using Timbuk2 Commute Messenger bags for about eight years, and I'm starting to outgrow them.
Based on pictures, it looked like the Small Swig was not substantially larger, so I went with the Medium to house my 15" MacBook Pro and work gear.
Unfortunately, a 15" Macbook Pro doesn't fit very well in the spacious laptop sleeve. Perhaps more disappointing is that the padding for the sleeve is quite flimsy for something from Timbuk2. While I'm apt to literally toss my Commute around, I'd be much too afraid to let the Swig fall to the ground with my computer inside.
And, while the Small Swig is "perfectly sized for women" (their description on their site), the Medium is surprisingly big. I'm 6'1" and fairly wide, and it looks kind of silly on my back for how large it is.
The Swig hasn't really swayed me from Timbuk2 products -- which are usually made incredibly well. But for me, I really wish there was something in between Small and Medium.

I have a small frame but wanted something that could hold a lot. I had a hard time finding something that would be both comfortable and fit all my stuff. This bag definitely does the trick.
I actually used the Swig to take my old backpack home from work -- after I had already filled the Swig with the contents of the old bag!
The material seems very strong and durable; there's a roll of padding inside the laptop pouch to keep it safe from accidental drops, though that's not something I'm willing to test.
I like sorting my stuff in different pockets, so my only complaint is that there aren't enough compartments. You have the large inner backpack section and an outer section with a zip-up compartment. It works well, it's just not my ideal setup.
I also stumbled upon a little hidden pocket that I couldn't see in the pictures. There's a semi-small zip-up compartment right on the seam on the lower back. It can't store much, but if you need to store some money or credit cards, that'd be the ideal place.

With 4 children and spending lots of money on numerous brands of backpacks. Finally...one that is absolutely perfects! Fits wonderful on my 12 yr old and on me as well! And for once...the backpack does not slip down and hurt your back with the weight! So durable and snazzy on top! My son has not only received numerous compliments from friends but adults have asked what kind of backpack is that and where can I get one? LOVE IT!!!!
