The Eagle Creek Pack-It Wallaby II Toiletry Kit is an Eagle Creek classic, and for good reasonit has a place for everything. Elastic organizers and zippered pockets grant you easy access to your toothpaste and hair gel. The inside of the Wallaby II is stain- and water-repellent, so if your shampoo or make-up explodes, you can simply wipe it off. The removable mirror can be used in the shower or taken to the office to check for pre-meeting tooth spinach. Eagle Creek also included a Pack-It Sac for items you might need for a quick trip into the city and a swivel hook for easy hang-ability. Handy!

 "Eaglecreek Wallaby II" 2010-01-30
By S. Atkins (Rochester, NY)
Love this for my travel toiletries - fits well with other Eaglecreek packing cubes in my suitcase to keep it organized. It holds a lot and I tend to overstuff it but love how I can hang it up and have easy access to contents. Works well for me.

"Excellent but get some good bottles" 2009-01-08
By K. Fowler (Atlanta, GA)
I have used this several times now. I recommend it for longer trips. I used it to pack toiletries for a 5 week long trip and it was great. The only problem I had was that the very skinny pockets are a little TOO skinny and were useless for my toothbrush and my razor (may be useful to others with regular toothbrush and non-girly razor).

Make sure you get some good bottles to put into this. I have the large Travel Kit by Nalgene along with one other Nalgene travel bottle and they worked perfectly in the pockets. I filled them with shampoo, conditioner, combo body wash/shave gel, and some of the smaller bottles I used for hair product like gel, cream, etc. and then put those into the zipper part.

I'm not sure what the previous reviewer meant about un-velcroing the zipper pouch? On mine, when you hang the kit, the zipper pouch was fully accessible. It has 2 snaps that connect it to the kit so you can remove it. It is lined and waterproof so I always kept my cotton pads and Q-tips in there.

 "Good but not perfect" 2008-11-30
By Larry in Lafayette (Lafayette, California)
My previous Eagle Creek toiletry bag was finally wearing out after many years of great service. Of course, the specific model I had was no longer available. The Eagle Creek Wallaby II appeared to be about the same size and concept. Unfortunately, it has flaws. The material is lighter weight, which means it is harder to slide things in and out of the pockets, a problem made worse by their location on the front of the largest compartment. The zippered pouch on the bottom, which is shown in the photograph as if it is available when the case is unfolded, actually has to be removed (with velcro) to get access when the case is hung up. And the rounded ends seem less efficient. All in all, a disappointment from a company that is generally better than this.

 "excellent product" 2008-02-28
By L. Beckwith (Seattle, WA USA)
this handy kit has lots of pockets to get yourself organized, and a detachable mirror and pouch. the hook is perfect for hanging in the tent or shower hook. it is on the heavy side, but very durable and overall an excellent product that i am quite glad to have found. the outside is pretty tough too, so if you happen to have to walk your shower stuff outside in the rain, it'll do a pretty good job of keeping things fairly dry.

 "Excellent " 2007-01-04
By Dude (nyc)
Have taken this to Tokyo, Frankfurt, various hotels and friends' houses in the U.S. It is truly excellent and represents everything I expect from EC. I had reservations on spending $30 for a toiletry kit. But no longer. It feels like a portable bathroom. I keep doubles of everything I use in my daily routine in there so I can just grab it and go without going over checklists in my head. Has a detachable mirror, plenty of tube spaces. There is also a discreet(not completely hidden) back zippered pouch where one can keep private items away from prying eyes.

Observations: There is only one "big" slot, which is taken up by my deodorant. Most standard size shaving cream cannisters don't fit the smaller slots, so you have to find very specifically-sized travel shaving cream cannisters for easy access.

You would be able to fit regular sized shampoo bottles in the top zippered compartment, but this kit doesn't seem to be designed for "in shower" use.

I think what I like most is the fine craftsmanship, hence the premium price, compared to other kits. I have some money-belts from EC, and they are absolutely great - designed to be worn, will not chaff, well proportioned. The Travel Kit is the same: zippers always work, never catch; it fits/hangs everywhere; it has seen a year of use and still is in fine condition.

I can take this to my brother's absolutely gross bathroom, shared by three college-age guys, and not be afraid of my stuff touching the sink. It's an absolute must, if you travel somewhat regularly and have been using a dop-kit.

It has also inspired me to purchase the EC Pack-it folders and a packing cube. (To be reviewed...)

Update:

The hook from which the kit hangs is a bit wiley when the kit is folded up. It tends to come loose and get caught on stuff when I move it around. Annoying, but I wouldn't trade the kit for anything else right now.
