Slumberjack's Kid's sleeping bags were designed to appeal to younger campers, but parents will also love their value and functionality. These aren't your typical "slumber party" sleeping bags. Take them scouting, backpacking, and on warm or cold weather adventures. Patented expandable foot section lengthens bag as young campers grow. Double offset, differential cut construction eliminates cold spots. Flat adjustable hood. Easy Access Drawcords with Barrel Lock Closures permit closure of drawcords on hood. The cords are either flat or round, allowing users to easily adjust hood in low light situations. Hook and Loop Closures provide firm closure of the bag and prevent zippers from separating or opening. Anti-Snag Zipper Protection is sewn along the draft tube and zipper to ensure reliable zipper operation. Draft Tubes are baffles sewn adjacent to the zipper to keep cold air out and prevent heat loss through the zipper coils. Weather Wedge is a small piece of triangular fabric that is sewn at the base of the zipper to prevent heat loss at the zipper's bottom. This also reduces stress at the point where the zipper is sewn for greater durability. Stuff sack included.

"zipper get caught on material a lot, but ok bag" 2009-09-20
By Isabella E. Bertelli (Staten Island, NY)
This bag made my two year old happy and has plenty of room for him to grow. Washes well. The only downside is that the zipper gets caught in the yellow material at the botttom a lot. I guess if the child was old enough not to open the bag all the way (the zipper comes down with just a pull on material, if if you don't want it to) and no matter how careful I am, it still gets caught on material 75% of the time. This is why I only gave it 3 stars. Otherwise it would have been a 5. This is a medium weight bag, so as long as it not winter months or really high altitude, they can use it outdoors. We have only used it in the backyard or livingroom floor so far.

Not the best value on the market. But a solid little sleeping bag that appears will stand the test of time. Ours has already been on a campout and through the wash without any trouble. The expandable foot is cool but probably does not justify the price difference between this bag and its competitors. In any case, a great bag for children that actually go camping.

 "love the bag" 2008-09-28

We got this little bag for our 2 year old. He LOVES it!! Although we have not used it for camping yet, it will be ideal when we do. Slumberjack has been around for a long time, and this little bag is a good example of durability and quality. It is one of the smallest bags for toddlers that I have found---that is not a "novelty" sleeping bag. It is intended for actual outdoor camping--not only for the family room floor! It is a small version of an adult bag, and is also expandable. Our son will be able to use it for years!!

"Happy with the sleeping bag" 2007-08-01

I was nervous about purchasing this bag because I couldn't really find many reviews on it, and the description didn't seem to give enough details. However, I was very pleased with the bag when it came. I purchased two bags for my 4 yr. and 6 yr. old boys, and I think they are perfect for them. The sleeping bag is soft and fluffy, and seems to be a good quality.

The sleeping bag has a section at the bottom that easily zippers up to make it about a foot shorter. (I have seen gym bags that do the same thing) When it is at its short length, my 6 yr old has about 4 inches left in the bottom, so I think it will still fit him until he passes 5 ft. tall -- possibly more. The bag cinches around the head with a draw-string/clasp. It seems like it will be plenty warm for summer camping.

Overall, I think it is a great value if you can get it for around $30.

 "Slumberjack Go N Grow" 2007-01-23

At first I was hesitant about purchasing this sleeping bag, but after I received it and my grandson slipped into it I was very happy with the added feature. The bag was not a perfect fit but it should last him for a while. I recommend this bag highly for anyone who has kids. It's a great buy.
