I purchased this backpack for my fourth grader. I read reviews and researched this item on other websites also (did my homework), I was satisfied with the results. When I received it...
I thought the material felt thin and fragile
The shoulder rests didn't have much of any cushion
A standard sized foulder was tight
Can't imagine fitting a fall jacket and book together
It's worth about $5<$10 If I had seen it at a store. Beyond the logistics it would be great for a play pack (the design is totally cute).

This backpack is super cute and my daughter who is a horse lover, just loved it. I wanted a little backpack she could take with her to horseback riding lessons, something to hold a jacket, her boots, carrot treats for the horse. This was perfect and I loved that it is a soft material not the hard plastic. It was much nicer than I expected. It's not quite as big as the regular school backpacks but it's a good size. My daughter is 5 years old. It's perfect for us.

I made the mistake of purchasing the backpack and not looking at the measurements. If it's for a child out of kindergarten, it's too small. The backpack itself seemed fine, though.
