I bought this pack for canoe trips in the BWCA. It's large, tough and waterproof. The lumbar strap is a nice help on portages. However, when lifting the pack by a shoulder strap, the top adjusting straps tore at the pack anchor material; on the first day I used it. Also, the plastic clips sometimes refuse to open. Frustrating. My friend purchased a Dulutch pack for three times the price, but I think it will last three times as long.
