I bought this as a laptop carrier for my 15" MacBook Pro & all of it's accessories and have not been disappointed. The flap opens up to reveal 1 large pocket that includes a separate, secured space for your laptop. My 15" MacBook fits nice & snug, so I wouldn't think you'd be able to put a 17" mobile computer in this bag.
It also includes 2 outer zip pockets, in which I store the MacBook's various cables & adapters. It has room for it all, including spaces for pens/markers, zip drives, & any other computer type accessory you might want to keep with you.

I am a huge Osprey Packs fan and am glad they have finally started to tap this market of casual daypacks. Their expertise in technical packs has clearly shown it's influence in the Flap Jack line. The packs tout features inherited from its older brothers while demonstrating some new features and details of their own, which make them more approachable to the city dweller.
