 "Wonderful Gift!" 2010-02-11
By Kathryn E. Gagyi
I purchased these Trekking Poles for my fiance for Christmas. He has really enjoyed using them while we snowshoe. I really like that the height is adjustable, it makes it very easy for me to borrow! My only complaints would be that the baskets sometimes pop off and the bright red color. But otherwise, he seems to be really enjoying them and making great use of them. Would purchase again! Great product for the price!

 "Great poles, great price" 2009-08-14

These seem to good quality trekking poles, I like the rubber stopper you can attach to the tips so the ends aren't necessarily always pointy when on different surfaces. They also collapse nicely for carrying. I guess my only gripe is that the poles are a metallic red, which is a little flashy for the great outdoors. Also makes them look cheaper than they are.

 "Good Trekking Pole" 2010-04-05
By Greg P. Plooy (California)
I walk blacktop and dirt trails and so far so good. Iv'e put about 30 miles on these poles and they work fine. I plan on getting new tips because are already very worn. After market tips are better anyway. Enjoy.

"Good, for entry level poles" 2010-01-08
By Dennis A. Nicholson (Mid-south USA)
I got these because I have never used poles before, but as I age I find my grace leaves something to be desired. Anyway, I am not one who really abuses equipment any more than I have to. So far I have put about 20 miles on these from two seperate day hikes, one being fairly active with hills, creek crossings, and such. I am 155 pounds and usually carry about 20 extra pounds with clothes & gear. The poles have held up to with no signs of weakness. They bear weight without any give, and support just fine. I have no idea how long they will last, but I will say that they have convinced my to keep using poles in the future, so for entry level poles, they do what they are supposed to do.

"Mine did not break on rocky hikes" 2009-12-25
By Customer (Washington, DC United States)
Mine stayed strong for crossing streams or hiking on rocky trails, especially at Mount Osceola Trail in New Hampshire while it was very slippery with snow and icy water. I got my 2 poles as a set and was free with purchase of Mountainsmith Women's Laurel Backpack. I used only one pole at a time because I wanted one hand free and often switch pole from one hand to another. Though I relied on only one pole, I never fell "yet" even in the dark (in the rain at White Oak Canyon and Ceder Run at AT, Virginia). Of course, you will need good hiking boots to balance your feet. I have mine about a year now so can't tell for long lasting quality.

"Broke a pole the first time out" 2008-09-08
By Keith Drury (Marion, IN United States)
The price was right but on the first week long backpacking trip in the Wind River Range my wife snapped off one of the poles. Leki poles would have survived the same stick-jab. Sorry... they are pretty but more for Day hikes than serious backpacking.
