 "Great backpack!!!" 2009-10-12
By A. Hein
Went on my first 4-day backpacking trek with this pack and loved it! Held all of my stuff perfectly. Lots of little hooks and bungies on the outside for attaching water bottles, mittens, hankies, socks, etc.

Only thing is wished there were a few more exterior pockets. Some of the people we backpacked with had quite a few more pockets and I found myself wishing for those. But otherwise this pack was fantastic and I look forward to using it again!

We went through UK in 40 days. The backpack is rugged, lightweight and

comfortable. You can adjust it so the weight is on your hips and you hardly

feel the weight.

I think that backpacks work better than suitcases with rollers for these trips

because we were always walking miles on country roads.

The one drawback is hopping in and out of cabs. But you can, with experience

pop the pack on and off fairly quickly.

 "Excellent Backback" 2008-12-21

This backpack is the perfect pack for 2-5 days of traveling. I purchased the Gregory Jade 50 for an upcoming trip to Peru and it was perfect for everything I needed to carry. Plenty of storage, compartments and lightweight. Highly recommended.

"Awesome strong light travel pack" 2010-02-03
By Y. Murphy
I absolutely love this bag. I recently tested the pack to the extreme traveling through india for 25 days then London/england for a week. it went through some of the extreme high temperatures in India and some the coldest in London with snow.

The Osprey 50 can really hold a lot of gear. the stitching is strong enough to hold odd shaped items that tend to "poke" through on cheaper bags. The shape of the main compartment takes some getting used to due to it conforming shape.

The shoulder straps on the Osprey 50 are very comfortable number one and do not dig into your shoulder blades at the top. There are plenty of adjustments to get the weight of our shoulders and distribute it to your hips. The mesh lining in the back of the Osprey 50 keeps the pack off of your back while maintaining stability. The mesh is made strong and also allows for storage of a water bladder.

I have no complaints about the Osprey 50 what so ever. I am happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone.

 "So far, so good" 2010-05-17
By Sarah J. Wagner
I am trying to use this for long distance running, which is not the intended use. I wore it on a medium 6 mile run on Sunday and it wasn't bad, weight fully loaded with water was good, no sloshing. It did make me hot and I had to figure out a better positioning on my sholders because it rubbed a bit on my neck. I am happy with this. Much better than the other things I have tried.

"Another Excellent Product from Camelbak" 2010-01-17
By M. Koneda (Home of the Infantry, USA)
This Slipstream was purchased as a gift; it's the second one I've bought. I use mine for cycling. The pocket is big enough to hold my keys, ID, cash and iPhone. The elastic pocket is also quite large and is more than adequate to hold my Cannondale rain jacket.

Overall, the quality is great. It's comfortable on long rides. Both the bladder and case are easy to clean. Although, I'd recommend using Camelbak's cleaning kit that includes two brushes. I've found the easiest way to keep it clean is to store the bladder full in the fridge between rides.

I highly recommend the Slipstream to cyclist or runners.

 "Nice Water Pack" 2009-11-06
By KoolJeffy
After a friend showed me his and how it worked on a recent bike ride, I had to go out and buy my own. This is a nice unit which makes drinking and riding very easy. It also comes in handy for those long jogs which I will be getting into. Great product, highly recommended.

"Nice but a bit small." 2009-09-19
By chigirl (chicago)
I wish that it were a bit bigger and held more water. It does hold a few small items but if you want more of a backpack/water pack, I would go with something a bit larger. I think it's difficult to determine what size to order by viewing online. If I were to get another CamelBak, I would look at them in person at REI or some other store before making the purchase.

 "Exactly as described!" 2009-08-27
By Gregory (Akron, Ohio United States)
This is a wonderful product. I use it while riding my bike around town and on trails. It is a perfect size and holds my cell phone, wallet, and a couple of trail mix bars. It stands out for safety on the road but still looks appealing. I would definitely buy this product, it is well worth the money.

 "Looks can be deceiving!" 2009-07-22
By B. Ferraro (Ohio)
I just got my camelback in the mail after waiting anxiously for over a week! My only complaint thus far is the color. I really researched this pack before I bought it on several websites. The pack got all good reviews on its performance and from all the pictures it seemed to be lime green. However when I opened the box I was shocked!! It was highlighter yellow!! Well at least cars will see me at night! It is more elongated as well then what the picture shows. I will be testing it out on the bike trail tomorrow!! My only other concern is that I was unable to find out if this pack was made for women or men. Im a woman but I didnt get a womans' pack because i needed something small with extra pockets.

 "Nice product, great price" 2009-10-27
By Picky Consumer (Jacksonville, FL)
I ordered two of these and they are great! It is made for cycling, so it rides high on the shoulders for the cyclists' riding position. I bought them for motorcycling and they fit well over light clothes or an armored riding jacket. The valve has a push/pull on/off feature which is nice and keeps it from dripping like on some other hydration packs I've seen.

Works great, quality is fine and I recommend it.

"Works well but difficult to clean" 2009-07-28
By Camera Guy
The hydration pack keeps the water cold for at least 1 1/2 hours and is easy to adjust and use, however, cleaning it is difficult. It is hard to drain the entire bladder after use because of the location of the filling orifice. You just can't turn the pack upside down to drain completely.

 "It's great" 2009-04-26
By Alan R. Aguilera Jr.
it is a great pack, i took it with me to the military games, i got shot at and hit several times and it didn't rupture or anything. It does a good job, holds in my thoughs enough water for a few hours and can take a beating and keep on ticking.

 "Hydration on the go" 2009-03-18
By E. Mohr (Westminster, MD)
I purchased two of these hydration packs for my husband and I since we had been going skiing a lot over the winter. As anyone who's been to a ski resort can tell you, buying soft drinks is not cheap, and who wants to stop and take off half their gear just to buy a bottle of water that will cost at least a few dollars? This hydration pack was perfect for our needs.

We saved time and a couple bucks in not having to stop to buy drinks at the resort concessions, and we could enjoy a quick drink whenever we wanted - no sitting around waiting to finish a 20oz drink before hitting the slopes again. Filled, it was not too heavy, and my husband and I both found it comfortable to wear once the straps were adjusted accordingly. Half the time I forgot it was even there. The bite valve stayed out of the way for the most part, and was easy to use. I did not notice a plastic taste, but I had put powdered gatorade mix in my pack, not plain water, which may have masked any slight plastic taste.

A word of caution, if you don't want to have your drink dripping all over you, remember to push the bite valve closed when you are done using it.

I found it relatively easy to clean, just wash with regular dish detergent and let it dry out completely. I used a paper towel to help speed the drying process. It was only slightly difficult getting the bladder in and out - the main difficulty being connecting/disconnecting the drinking tube. It simply screws in, it's mostly just a little hard to get at it. All in all, a good buy that I would happily buy again. I expect to use it for cycling this summer as well.

"A good price for a good product" 2009-03-09
By B. Lim
I use this when I go snowboarding and its great to have something to drink on the lift. I wear it under my jacket and I noticed it leaks a little and stains my middle wear, but this is likely due to the fluids getting trapped in the end piece after I close it.

Also, I couldn't figure out how to get the pouch out. Eventually I got it. I took the cap entirely off, and was able to nudge the pouch thru the inside of the pack and eventually slide it out. (obvious huh)

Otherwise, for the price, its a good buy.
