I unintentionally tested the waterproof aspect of the 2.5-liter Storm Sack (it passed: completely submerged for about 30 seconds and inside was completely dry), and I have purchased the 5-liter size. The 5-liter works for me to fit my Nikon D90 with a lens attached (although a little tight), and I plan to use it in this way when I travel by boat to different islands in Belize.
I'm so glad to be able to trust the Storm Sack to keep my camera dry.

I used the SealLine Storm Sack to add some extra protection to my water-resistant, pocket-sized HD video recorder while innertubing in Belize. Glad I did, because I hit a rough spot and completely flipped! The Storm Sack was completely submerged for about 30 seconds, and when I opened it up it was completely dry inside. I look forward to relying on my Storm Sacks again in the future to keep my things dry.

It works and it's durable. Not only do I use it for kyaking but also as an all around carry. I can throw spare clothes in it and not worry about rain or water. I have a smaller size and it is just that too small.
